WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

To have fun! You don't need to be a yoga or paddle board expert to enjoy this experience... You don't even need to stand up to have a great time! This is a light-hearted, "all in this together" type of activity! Be prepared to get a little wet, (yes, you may fall in, but thats OKAY!) so being comfortable on and in the water is important. We warm up with a paddle out, we anchor down, and we go with the flow ;)

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

A swim suit or workout wear that can get wet or that is a water wicking material. Truly anything you feel comfortable moving in, and aren't afraid to get wet is PERFECT! Utilize sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses depending on the time of year and weather. A towel and change of clothes is recommended in case you fall in/get wet!

OTHER TIPS & TRICKS!

  • Show up early! Usually 15 mins prior to class is perfect, be ready to hit the water right at start time.

  • Bring & drink LOTS of water!

  • Bring a water proof bag if you have one.

  • Grab a PFD (personal floatation device) if you need one.

  • Once you're on the board: Move slowly, keep a wide stance & a micro-bend in the knees.

  • Embrace the unexpected! No judgment, no expectations, JUST HAVE FUN!

WHAT IS SUP YOGA?

To be put simply, it's combines a variety of relaxing yoga poses with the joy and excitement of stand-up paddle boarding. Typically practiced in a large, calm, body of water. It's a beautiful way to connect with nature, find your breath and really bring yourself into the moment.. but most importantly- IT'S FUN!!!
