A little bit about us...

Yoga In The Pines is a humble & welcoming yoga studio. Striving to offer a safe space for self-expression, self-exploration & self-realization.
Reminding ourselves that a "yoga practice" can be as simple as  allowing yourself to JUST exist!

Meet our instructors!




My name is Mel & I am the owner & operator of Yoga In The Pines! I took ownership of the studio in July 2021 and I couldn’t be more grateful!! I’m so thankful for our amazing clients, our beautiful space and our incredible instructors!!!

I began practicing yoga regularly in 2013 and it quickly began to change my life. Introducing me to body awareness, thought/mind management & most of all HOW TO BREATHE!!!! I see the practice of yoga as being so much more than performing poses; so much more than our media seems to “advertise.” Yoga is the practice of unifying the relationships we carry within; our emotions, our breath, our bodies & our minds. 


For many years I resisted beginning a yoga practice due to how other studios represented themselves... Focusing on fancy poses, bikini bodies and the “right” brand of yoga clothing… and all I knew is I wanted a space that was the opposite of that! I craved a space that encourages authenticity without ego! So that’s exactly what I created...

When people come to our studio, we strive for them to feel welcome & comfortable showing up exactly as they are; no expectations, no requirements, no judgements! Our humble studio is a place of acceptance, accessibility & inclusivity. Constantly learning & adapting ways to best serve our community. 

I offer Power, Vinyasa, Gentle, Yin, Restorative, Chair & STAND-UP PADDLEBOARD YOGA!!!

I am a 200-E-RYT & I look forward to expanding my knowledge with years to come! 

On a more personal note: I moved to Payson almost 3 years ago with my amazing fiance, our dogs and tortoise. I adore animals, being outdoors, trying new things and laughing myself into tears! 

I look forward to sharing our space with you all & building something greater than ourselves!!!


Hello! My name is Kelli!

I am a 200 hour certified yoga instructor along with certification in I AM Yoga Nidra and training in Yoga for Athletes. I decided to become a yoga teacher in 2017 because I wanted to learn how to show others the peace and healing that yoga offers.  


My favorite part of practicing yoga is seeing the transformation not only in my own life, but also in others. I love that yoga is so versatile and can be practiced anywhere; not just on the mat! The mat is like a home base where the intention is created to bring out into the real world. Everything I have learned from yoga has already existed in myself and that is what I want others to realize: you already have what you are searching for.


Yoga Nidra is my favorite type of yoga practice as it has brought the most profound change into my life. Yoga Nidra completely changed my perspective on life in the best way possible. When I lead a Nidra, I feel like it is the most magical thing I can do for anyone outside of myself.


I also love studying and teaching classes based on the Chakra system. When the Chakras are cleared, it brings overall wellbeing and balance to the whole body. I look forward to meeting all of you beautiful souls at the studio! Namaste.



Megan believes in the capability of yoga to change your perspective and life in positive and meaningful ways. 


With a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a background in sports medicine, Megan aims to enrich and rejuvenate your body and mind. She uses her knowledge of human anatomy to foster body awareness and enhance body alignment. Megan integrates yoga philosophy, mindfulness, and a focus on breath and energy into each class. Her intention is to leave your body and mind feeling peaceful, balanced and invigorated after each session.


Megan studied yoga philosophy and became proficient in Hatha Yoga and Yoga Nidra. She has expanded her scope of practice and is adept in Chair Yoga, Sports Recovery Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Vinyasa.


Megan believes in Yoga for Every Body. Her teaching style meets you where you are. No matter your experience, age, strength or flexibility, Megan uses adaptable language and pose modifications/variations to teach you how to support your body to advance your practice.


Hello All! My name is Jessica McDonald, also quite often called Jessie or Jess. I am a true, nature-loving, wild child at heart that seeks to experience all that the natural world has to offer in its glorious, awe inspiring and adventure filled ways!


My current path in life started about 7 years ago when I began seeking alternative methods to help me cope with some significant health issues. Little did I know that everything I came to learn during this time would change my life completely. Meditation, sound healing, La Ho Chi and other alternative healing practices, took me on a journey of deep, inner healing and provided me with personal coping methods for what my Body, Mind and Spirit were going through. In the midst of this inner work, I also came to realize a big part of my calling and purpose in this life. I decided not to return to my previous career, but instead I sought further learning and practice, obtained certifications in Sound Healing and La Ho Chi, and set out to share this joy and type of healing with others.


I am so excited to be a part of what Yoga In the Pines has to offer our beautiful community of Payson! It is so important these days to take the time for our minds and bodies to unwind and connect with our own inner Spirit. I look forward to meeting you all and sharing in this amazing journey together!




Adrian VanKeuren began her tai chi journey as a means to help recover from multiple chronic illnesses; now, she shares her love and dedication to tai chi as a healing art with others.


A certified instructor with over five years of teaching experience, Adrian holds professional status with the American Tai Chi and Qigong Association.  She is also a reiki master, intuitive energy healer, and Biomat therapist.
